Job Description As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol Officer in Seattle, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, assist with access control and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your Allied Universal team. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, garages, and building perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, assisting with visitor directions and reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and/or assist with security-related administrative tasks as assigned by site leadership.
