As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, report concerns, and provide clear, respectful customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, public-facing spaces, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor entrances, exits, and designated access points; observe for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate resources such as site representatives and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
Complete security-related reports and documentation, including incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol observations, in a clear and timely manner.
Operate and/or monitor security-related equipment such as radios, access control systems, and video monitoring systems as applicable to the post.
Provide directions, general assistance, and de-escalation support to members of the public and site staff while maintaining a professional presence.
Support crowd management and orderly movement of visitors during peak periods, public meetings, and/or special events as assigned.
Identify and report maintenance, lighting, and facility concerns observed during patrols to the appropriate point of contact.
Follow Allied Universal and site procedures for key control, restricted areas, and handling found property when encountered during patrol activities.
