As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout the site. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry.
Assist with visitor management by checking identification and logging arrivals and departures as required by site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with inquiries related to site access and security-related procedures.
Perform regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and security-related activities according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
Support emergency response activities as directed by site management and Allied Universal guidelines.
