You will screen people and items, operate screening equipment, verify badges and credentials, and maintain a visible presence that can help to reduce incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, contractors, and visitors at designated entry points, including verifying identification, reviewing access authorization, and conducting package and/or bag inspections in accordance with site policy.
• Monitor inbound and outbound activity such as pedestrian traffic, deliveries, and vehicle flow, documenting irregularities and escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, medical situations, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and complete required logs and reports.
