As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and support smooth truck and visitor flow. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and document security-related activity while providing professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, checking delivery and pickup documentation, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
• Coordinate with warehouse operations and transportation personnel to direct truck traffic, manage gate activity, and report unusual conditions through established communication channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting site procedures for escalations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of gates, parking areas, docks, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and complete required reports.
