About the position
The Security Flex Officer at Allied Universal is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of various facilities. This role involves acting as a visible deterrent to crime, detecting and reporting suspicious activities, and providing exceptional customer service. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, as officers may be called upon to cover shifts at multiple sites, and it offers opportunities for career advancement within the largest security company in North America.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and security of assigned facilities.
- Act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions.
- Detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts at or near assigned posts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.
- Respond to events and situations received over phones and radios.
- Document routine and unusual events accurately.
- Make emergency notifications as necessary according to site Post Orders.
- Assist new officers in learning Post Orders.
- Work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess effective written and oral communication skills.
- Have a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 36 months.
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle as required by company policy.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen.
- Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client sites.
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.

- Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications.
- Ability to analyze high-stress situations quickly and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
