About The Position

As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen people and items entering the facility, and support a smooth flow of daily operations. You will remain visible, complete routine patrols and/or interior checks, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X‐Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and vendors at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate location within the facility.
  • Assist with screening of packages, bags, and/or shipments as required for a logistics and distribution location, documenting irregularities and escalating concerns per post orders.
  • Monitor access points and surrounding areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yard, and perimeter as assigned, including observing doors, docks, gates, and trailer areas, and completing required reports and logs.
