As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document observations. Requirements

  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to hospital staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, noting and reporting unusual conditions and/or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with clinical staff, and requesting additional support when needed.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as directed, helping to manage visitor flow, and documenting relevant activity per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts, and assist with security-related investigations by preserving observations and available information.
