As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol common areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist guests and tenants with directions and concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting emergency services as needed, and/or coordinating with property management.
• Monitor entrances, loading areas, and/or restricted spaces, help to deter unauthorized access, and direct individuals to appropriate resources or points of contact.
• Complete required documentation such as daily activity logs, patrol reports, and incident reports; communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.
