As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and respond to security-related concerns with teamwork and integrity, reflecting Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, innovative, and people first.

Requirements

Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, waiting rooms, and parking areas, as well as exterior perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor access points and public areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and communicate directions and policy reminders in a professional manner.
Document and report security-related observations, incidents, and shift activities using site-required logs and/or reporting systems, and promptly notify supervision of concerns.
