As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor badge processes, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver responsive customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the commercial property, including interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with visitor and contractor check-in and/or routing according to site procedures.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership, and assist with scene control until additional resources arrive.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents, inspections, and patrol activity, and communicate observations and follow-up needs during shift transitions.
