As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will assist with access control, report security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with site contacts while providing customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service in a healthcare location by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting staff and visitors and documenting events per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas during patrols, assist with wayfinding, and report unusual conditions to the appropriate department and/or supervisor.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift logs accurately and on time, using required communication tools and escalation protocols.
