As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge procedures, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations clearly. Bring strong customer service and communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting public partners and/or site representatives as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with site rules.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate notable information to supervisors and/or oncoming shifts.
