Requirements

  • The client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to clinical staff and/or leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, waiting rooms, and parking areas, as well as exterior perimeter checks; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing traffic flow, checking identification and/or visitor passes when required, and directing individuals to the appropriate department.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and on-site contacts.
