As a Screener with Allied Universal in a cruise operations location, you will help support a welcoming environment by monitoring assigned areas and conducting screening at key access points. You will remain highly visible while checking credentials and belongings, using approved screening procedures, and documenting security-related activity. You will deliver service-focused communication with guests, crew, and partners, bringing an agile, reliable, innovative approach grounded in teamwork, care, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have X-Ray screening experience, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, crew members, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cruise operations environment.
  • Conduct access control and screening activities, including verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and performing inspections of bags, packages, and/or equipment in accordance with post orders.
  • Operate and monitor screening and surveillance equipment as assigned, report suspicious activity, and help to deter prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter, complete patrol logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel.
