Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist guests and tenants with professionalism, communicate clearly, and document observations. Requirements

• Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and/or tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting appropriate resources as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious behavior through established reporting channels.
• Complete shift activity reports, incident documentation, and communicate key information to Allied Universal supervision and/or client representatives.
