As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Chicago, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, support access control procedures, and communicate clearly while documenting activities. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, parking areas, loading docks, stairwells, and building perimeters; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns; report issues to property management and follow escalation procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting details, and coordinating with local emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, and support site operations with routine tasks such as key control, package and/or delivery management, and customer assistance as assigned.
