As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support employees and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and escalating concerns. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas such as offices, vault-adjacent corridors, and cash handling spaces.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, exterior, and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant observations during post transitions and/or to site leadership as needed.
