Join Allied Universal at a government location as an unarmed patrol officer, conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols to help spot and report security-related concerns. You will stay highly visible, assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document activity using site technology. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 or more months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential hazards or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity, verifying authorization as required and directing visitors according to site procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
