As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and assist guests and tenants with friendly, professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and public areas, help to deter unwanted activity, and address policy violations with a calm, service-focused approach.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, alarms, and suspicious activity; request additional resources when needed.
• Document patrol activity and incidents in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
