About The Position

As an Allied Universal officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible, and help identify and report security-related concerns. You will support access control practices, assist with customer questions, and use a computer and/or tablet to document activity and communicate clearly with store teams. Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to store associates and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to management and/or public emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, supporting loss prevention efforts through presence and timely reporting.
Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support opening and/or closing routines as assigned.
