As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, and respond to concerns with a customer-first approach. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 or more months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading areas, offices, and perimeter fencing; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor and control access points by checking identification, logging visitors and/or vendors, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing traffic and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Observe for unusual activity, unsecured doors or gates, spills and/or leaks, and other conditions requiring attention, then report findings to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations, completing reports, and assisting with site notifications as directed.
