As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will engage shoppers and tenants with strong customer service and clear communication, while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, entrances, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, lost children assistance, and/or property damage reports.
• Monitor and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues; document activities and incidents using required reporting methods.
• Coordinate with property management and local law enforcement and/or emergency services partners as directed, assist with access control, and/or support special events and peak-traffic periods.
