As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure atmosphere for customers and staff. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits as required by site procedures.
Support loss prevention efforts by remaining alert to potential theft or policy violations within the location.
Work collaboratively with store staff and Allied Universal team members to promote a secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
