Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at a retail location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor customer and associate traffic patterns, assist with access control at doors and receiving areas as assigned, and report suspicious activity and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
- Support loss prevention and security-related operations by observing for theft indicators, policy noncompliance, and disruptive behavior, and coordinating with store management and/or law enforcement when directed.
