Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, so you will regularly operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will remain visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with guests and staff, all while exemplifying Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards within the location to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
• Assist with access control measures, including monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any unusual behavior or incidents.
• Collaborate with store management and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Document all incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
