As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will spend much of your shift driving between areas, completing routine patrols, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related issues, and responding to concerns with clear communication. You will document observations, assist team members, and provide customer-focused service that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative approach, strong teamwork, and integrity. A valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons and store associates while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or other policy violations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, and/or disorderly conduct, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Complete incident reports, shift logs, and/or other required documentation; communicate observations and next steps to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Support loss prevention and operational teams by observing merchandise protection measures, assisting with access control, and/or guiding customers to appropriate resources as needed.
