As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol residential areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
Monitor and control access to the residential location, verifying identification and granting entry only to authorized individuals.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the residential location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual conditions.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and property management to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report maintenance or maintenance-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
