As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring access control and conducting routine patrols at a logistics and distribution location. Requirements

Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a logistics and distribution environment.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the facility to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for logistics and distribution settings.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and report any irregularities.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with visitor and/or contractor management by verifying identification and maintaining accurate logs as required by site procedures.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or delivery personnel, providing information and assistance as needed.
Support the implementation of site-specific security-related policies and procedures to help to deter loss and maintain operational integrity.
