As an unarmed driving patrol officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist customers and associates with professionalism. This role requires a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, tenants, and store associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, stock areas, exterior entrances, and parking lots while noting unusual activity and/or property concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disputes, suspected theft activity, and/or medical events, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, help to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct through visible presence, and assist with line management and store closing and/or opening routines when assigned.
Complete security-related reports and logs, document observations and actions taken, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
