Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with calm communication, and document observations clearly. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation efforts and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout hospital buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and interior areas, verifying credentials and directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with site-specific policies and visiting hours.
  • Complete accurate reports of incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
