As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and respond to requests with clear communication and a customer-service mindset. Requirements

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions; report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, directing people to appropriate resources, and requesting public emergency services when needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
