About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol interior and exterior areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license, with mobile patrols and quick response support as needed. You will also assist guests and store teams with clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or employees at a retail or mall location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, lost children, and/or property concerns, and escalating to site leadership and public responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational issues.
Monitor entrances, loading areas, and/or camera systems when assigned, helping to control access, observe for unusual activity, and support store personnel with security-related concerns.
Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and customer interactions, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
