As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist customers and store teams with clear communication. You will document observations, support access control practices, and help maintain an organized environment. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, retail location policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns through site-specific channels.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of the sales floor, entrances and exits, stock areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter theft and/or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor customer and associate activity and note suspicious behavior, package removal, and/or policy violations, and coordinate with store leadership when appropriate.
- Complete required documentation such as daily activity logs and incident reports, and support opening and/or closing routines as assigned.
