As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help foster a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication in line with our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies in an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activities, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Work collaboratively with campus staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related issues and support a secure learning environment.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to students, staff, and visitors.
Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner as part of daily duties.
