As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to concerns, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication and professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology and communications location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, access control points, and camera systems as assigned, documenting observations and reporting irregular conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, fire-related notifications, and facility evacuations as directed by post orders.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and coordinate with local responders and/or on-site teams when escalation is needed.
