As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns with calm professionalism, support staff and visitors with clear communication, and document observations. Requirements
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
- Control access at designated entrances, visitor areas, and restricted departments by verifying identification, directing foot traffic, and documenting entries and/or exits per site policy.
- Complete security-related reports and logs, monitor cameras and/or alarm systems as assigned, and communicate observations to shift leadership for follow-up.
