As an unarmed, driving patrol officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or associates by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, parking lots, and perimeter, noting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns and reporting them per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disputes, disorderly conduct, medical situations, and/or evacuation notifications as directed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or disruptive behavior, and document observations in activity logs and incident reports.
• Support store operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with customer questions and/or directions, and coordinating with on-site management and public emergency services when requested.
