As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with staff, students, and visitors while delivering customer-focused service. Requirements

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, verifying identification and/or authorization and directing individuals to the appropriate office or destination.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate observations and status updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
