As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activities, and deliver clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. Backed by Allied Universal, you will work with an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, including access control and visitor processing.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, tank farm and/or process areas, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, noting unusual conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, gates, and communication systems, and respond to calls for service in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations by following post orders, coordinating with onsite contacts and/or emergency responders, and assisting with evacuations, traffic control, and area isolation as directed.
  • Complete detailed daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, documenting patrols, observations, and actions taken.
