As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activities, and deliver clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, including access control and visitor processing.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, tank farm and/or process areas, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, noting unusual conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, gates, and communication systems, and respond to calls for service in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations by following post orders, coordinating with onsite contacts and/or emergency responders, and assisting with evacuations, traffic control, and area isolation as directed.
- Complete detailed daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, documenting patrols, observations, and actions taken.
