As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, quick direction, and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that could lead to security-related concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials when required, directing visitors, and helping to maintain orderly movement in public areas.
  • Document and report security-related events, hazards, and policy violations via written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
