As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering strong customer service. You will be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Requirements
- Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and post orders at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request assistance from site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
- Control entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to the appropriate location.
- Complete timely reports such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
