As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a positive customer experience. You will observe and report unusual activity, assist shoppers and staff with clear communication, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and associates while following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and receiving areas; observe for suspicious behavior, potential theft indicators, and/or unauthorized access, and report concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical calls, and/or property damage reports as directed.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain logs for patrols, incidents, and/or customer interactions; communicate updates promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
