As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors, respond to concerns, and document observations with attention to detail. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to campus partners and/or law enforcement as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, and surrounding grounds, checking doors, gates, and common areas for unusual activity.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in, and directing guests to appropriate campus locations.
  • Document incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
