As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and site teams, respond to alarms and requests, and document observations. You will be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
  • Have CPR certification preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and authorized entry procedures, assist with visitor and contractor check-in requirements, and help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Complete required reports and documentation, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and support security-related investigations by preserving information and following post orders.
