As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, students, and visitors, respond to concerns, and document observations with attention to detail. Requirements
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting and escalating concerns per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor assigned areas for unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance issues, and communicate observations to appropriate campus contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
- Complete detailed reports for incidents, patrol activities, and daily events, and support investigations with accurate documentation when requested.
