As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will make rounds throughout the property, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and store teams with clear communication and customer-focused support. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Help to observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or potential theft indicators, and document observations in written reports and incident logs.
• Assist with access control and customer flow at entrances, exits, and receiving areas, including directing visitors and/or helping with crowd management during peak shopping periods.
