As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to a technology-focused facility by verifying identification and/or access authorization, directing visitors, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, damage, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and/or building systems where assigned, and report abnormal conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, complete detailed reports, and coordinate with site management and/or public responders as needed.
