As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at the location, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor flow. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site contacts, and use teamwork to respond to concerns with integrity. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor and report suspicious activity and/or hazards, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete required logs and incident reports, and follow post orders, radio protocols, and escalation procedures.
