As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to requests, support staff, patients, and visitors with calm communication and strong customer service, and document observations as needed. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, lobbies, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, assist with wayfinding, and help maintain orderly movement in high-traffic areas while following facility rules.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
